Law was changed to allow tractors to be sold in Nebraska with either a Nebraska test or an Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) test, and the Nebraska test was changed to match the standards established by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) and the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE). Currently the Nebraska Tractor Test Station is qualified to conduct either test at the request of the tractor manufacturer. A full review of both testing standards is not possible in this text; instead the following is a discussion of the general principles of testing and the two test methods. Individual reports and additional information can be obtained from the testing stations.1'2
