are fastened to each end of the stand to hold the stakes of the toolrests H. A in. hole is bored in the top edge of each toolrest (Fig. 6, H) for the pegs of the toolrest I to fit into. A rectangular piece of iron is fastened to the top of the toolrest I at the edge next to the grinder so that hot metal may be ground without burning the wood. By this arrangement the rapid adjustment of the toolrests may be made for a variety of grinding work.
