Grinding Ensilagecutter Blades

- Due to the fact that ensilage-cutter blades are long, the sickle-grinder wheel should be removed from the shaft of the grinder and thus out of the way for the blade-grinding operation. If the blade is nicked, or irregular in shape due to wrong grinding, it is placed flat on the toolrest with the beveled side up, squarely against the grinder, and the cutting edge ground straight and down to the bottoms of the nicks, as shown in Figure 23.
