Don't be tempted to set up work surfaces and wall lights all around the edge of the room just because it looks neat and tidy on paper. It's much better to start with a main bench set up in front of the window and to build additional small, island work surfaces, adding more lights as you go.

Aeovf: Position the light so that it illuminates the area of interest.
above: The blade-to-wood area needs to be free from shadow.
left: Position the light overhead so as to avoid dark shadow.
