Association of Geoscientists for International Development

The Association of Geoscientists for International Development (AGID) is a global association uniting more than 1400 geologists, hydrogeologists, engineers and other professionals involved in international development activities with an earth-scientific scope. Notwithstanding a number of very useful activities - such as the Preliminary Bibliography on Groundwater in Developing Countries (Stow et al., 1976) - regarding groundwater, it cannot compete in importance and activity level with associations such as IAH and IAHS. AGID's website can be found at: http://agid.igc.usp.br.
